BP435
Deep Blue/UV Bandpass Filter

The BP435 filter is offered but not recommended for machine vision applications due to its low peak transmission (about 68%), very gradual cut-on and cut-off slopes, and less-than-complete IR blocking. It also passes a good portion of the near-UV spectrum that lighting used in fluorescence applications often works within, allowing significant interference from these UV light sources. Therefore, the BP435 does not yield bright, high contrast images.

This single substrate filter is very similar to the Hoya B440 filter presented by many other filter suppliers as the only choice for a blue bandpass filter. Fortunately, MidOpt has a far better option (BP470) that is not available from other industrial filter suppliers..

Examples of filter effectiveness.

Standard Threaded Mounts:
We offer standard filter sizes from stock – 22.5mm to 62mm – for same- or next-day shipping. Larger filters – 67mm to 105mm – are made to order and are normally not returnable.

Slip Mounts:
If your lens does not have threads for mounting a filter, Slip Mount adapters are available. Slip Mounts can attach a regular filter to a lens or attach a very large filter to accommodate a wide angle lens. Please call to order Slip Mount adapters.
