Slip Mount Filter Adapters
Slip-mounts allow standard filters to be used on lenses that do not have filter threads.
Filters for varifocal, wide angle and other lenses without filter threads
Many varifocal zoom and shorter fixed focal length wide angle lenses are not supplied with filter threads due to a wide angular field of view and a strongly convex first lens element. Our black delrin slip mount adapters allow standard (or oversized) filters to be fitted securely and not interfere with these lenses.
The mount attaches to the outside front of the lens with 3 set screws; standard threaded filters can then be used with the lens/mount combination.

Oversized filters prevent vignetting
Filters used are oversized relative to the lens diameter in order to prevent vignetting, a very common problem when trying to adapt filters to all short focal length lenses. Additionally, and contrary to traditional filter configurations, standard threaded filters are designed to be installed "upside down" onto the slip mount adapter, creating the lowest possible profile, typically about 1.0mm. This is particularly important for very wide angle lenses with a protruding front lens element in order to limit vignetting.
Step rings are used to adapt very large diameter filters to the slip mount when the angular file of view approaches 180º and any amount of vignetting would otherwise be unavoidable and intolerable. Filters can thus be threaded individually or in tandem with other filter types.
New mount puts filters on 14mm diameter
Board Camera Lenses
This all-new filter adapter lets your board cameras go where only regular ones have gone before – into the ultraviolet, infrared and all points in between. Made of precision machined and anodized aluminum, it attaches securely to your lens with a single set screw making filters a snap to change as the subject or imaging requirements change.
Every filter we make can be sized to fit this tiny adapter: bandpass, longpass, etc. Filters are held in place with a slotted, threaded retaining ring, and there is ample space inside the mount for multiple filters if required.
